Event Roundup Jan2017

Caije logs into Ingressus to see the fireworks...but mostly in the hopes that Calypso might be there. However, it appears they will be starting the new year truly alone.
They heard of Scyllus's death, just barely realizing it was that person they'd met overseas. It was startling, but...sadly they hadn't interacted much and the little they had had been awkward. Still, it is sad news. Caije doesn't have high hopes for this new year at all.
There was a mild brightening for a moment though. A message sent by Always-Tea-Time 's Ryan. A 'Happy New Years' message with an attached cat gif. While not celebratory, it was appreciated and made them smile a bit. It even warranted a return message.
'May it be a good one.'
Generic, but it was better then not sending anything at all.

Kaho logs in both for fireworks...and to see if anything 'weird' will happen this time. So far he's missed all such 'events'. He is curious and thinks most of it is just spook-rumors for the virtual world. He had even started to say as much, gaining him some less then pleasant attention.

Finally having found the will to leave their room only to hear news of death. It sent shivers down Caije's spine. They didn't know the student, but still, that hardly mattered. Any and all death was to be mourned. Caije attended the funeral out of respect, but stood in the back as they weren't even acquainted with Scyllus.
It was at the funeral that Cai came across Silver-Firefly's Caly. She was heavily bandaged and looked more frail then Cai had ever seen her. She had assumed her sister avoiding her meant she was coping on her own. Clearly she was wrong. Giving Caly a strong hug, though careful of her injuries, she decided to do her best to be strong now. For her sister.
When her sister retreated for solitude Caije had decide to fetch some drinks and such for them both. She had no intentions of leaving Caly alone.
While on her way to get said drinks Caije happened to run into Always-Tea-Time 's Ryan. It was a tense meeting as the two had not seen each other since their failed 'rescue' mission. It didn't help that Ryan was also carrying the fresh grief of Scyllus's death. Tripping over their apologize both tried to take the blame the for what happened. In the process the two ended up in a big hug in order to comfort the other. Tears were shed along with more apologies. Caije decided there were two people she needed to be strong for now.

Hearing about Scyllus' death greatly startled Caije. Enough so to pull their attention away for their current project. They had never met them, though, being the council member for Tinkering they were definitely known to Caije. In fact, Caije had even tried writing to them a multiple occasions about certain ideas with Tinkering and Alchemy. However, due to so much hostility in the city they had never had the guts to send them.
However...there...was a lot more unity now...Perhaps...more support could be gained if the next councilor of Tinkering was already...pro union of?
It would certainly provide ample means and such to perfect their....current work.
Caije, while staring at and contemplating Charlie 2.0 is now debating the position. Perhaps, with it, showing the world their 'renewed brother' might be better met in the public eye.

Caije had been startled by the fire and, thankfully, his first instinct was to put it out. Searching out any carry-able container he fills it with sand from summer and proceeds to dose any fire he comes across.

As much as she wants to go out and see the ball drop, Caije sticks to t.v. watching for it. Well, she tried anyway. She was asleep before 11:30.

Caije, as in years before, felt a calm while setting up the lanterns. It was highly welcome as the tension that hung over their house in general was rather taxing. She had hoped that after the Yule Ball things would go back to their usual dullness. Or, at least the unease would just evolve into its problem already. Problems she could deal with, could make go away. The constant anticipation for a problem that refused to start or go away? It was... Tiring. Enough so that, away from prying eyes Caije found themselves cupping a firefly in their hand and whispering to it to let whatever would happen happen.

Meanwhile, in Rose Kaho took a stroll to enjoy the lights an lanterns on their own. He debated catching fireflies and making wishes, however, he knew well enough a wish made on them was nothing without the will to make it happen. He was more of a 'make it happen' person then a wish maker.

Caylee (Caije), making a few alterations to their dragon outfit, is sure to attend. Not only that, but is also sure to show off their wings. They are her favorite part of her outfit and she is sure she is never taking them off at this point. Not wanting to miss what this event has to offer Cay remains for the entirety of the event.
They met a lot more people here then at any other event so far. What's more, many were wing enthusiasts, which was great. There were so many  names being exchanged Caylee could hardly keep track of them all. She was sure she even gave the wrong name for herself at one point, but whatever. No one would notice. There was a (Always-Tea-Time) Ladon, who actually hung around with them for a long while. It was actually really fun because they could both talk about wings and such. Another wing fan was...what was it...(kat-eunhyeo) Xander[/Aiden]? It might have been the name. They were pretty cool admittedly.
One person in the muddle of names that drew their eye was someone who called themselves 'Teddy'. It was a cute name that reminded Caylee of cuddling. Mingling with these people was more entertaining then just running about places for things to shove in their room.
Though, the evening took an odd turn when Falling-Wish 's Alea arrives with a surprisingly familiar face. The whole room seems to stop when Silver-Firefly 's Calyn, dressed like some kind of fluffy cloud sheep, makes eye contact with them. They don't know why, but something about this person makes them feel all knotted and heavy inside...but, something else to.  Instead of distancing themselves from them and that feeling Caylee finds she cant bring herself to go far from them. The night passes in a blur as she tries to keep track of this person.

Kaho shows up for the fashions for a while, but isn't one to stay out past curfew. He bumps into kat-eunhyeo 's Misae at one point, but he didn't pay much attention. He was on his way home. Though, he did take note of their jacket. It looked nice and he kind of wanted it.
